The National park Kornati is one from most densest the island groups on the Mediterranean. The Kornati islands strand is made from 150 islands, islets and cliffs, scatter on the median Adriatic, and it was declared as the National park in 1980 and it represents the only small part of all Croatian island space, but their indentedness is unitary, not only on Adriatic, even on the whole Mediterranean. One from the main natural characteristic of Kornati islands is huge number of islands on the small space. According to some, there is even more than 150 of islands, and according to others ther is only 125. Some authors are quoting them 140 or 141.
